Stellar Intersection depicts the connection with source. At the center of the painting (and in many of the consciousness series), an arc, angle and straight line intersect. Each type of line holds meaning as it also guides the development of clouds of color. Where all three come together, it connects with the entire canvas and represents a connection with life or beingness as it dances toward the viewer. When I paint these I turn them many times. There is no "right" way to view them and I encourage viewers to turn them to both express themselves and take what they wish from it.
When asked what I "do", I generally answer' "Yes". I have worked professionally in pencil, pen, paint than 40 years and in digital media almost as long. Change is important to me as it lays the ground for play and exploring which is a vital part of everything I do. An illustrator at heart, whether my work is an abstract, figurative, mural or a cartoon, I tend to tell stories with my art. Sometimes the story is about what is shown, other times it is about the the media and how it is made.
