The blue face of a small child peered out at me from the canvas as I was working the color, texture, and spatial composition of this piece. Holding a tiny golden heart in his/her hands I recognized the shy, sensitive look of this emerging figure searching for safety and love as it offers its tender heart to the viewer.
When asked what I "do", I generally answer' "Yes". I have worked professionally in pencil, pen, paint than 40 years and in digital media almost as long. Change is important to me as it lays the ground for play and exploring which is a vital part of everything I do. An illustrator at heart, whether my work is an abstract, figurative, mural or a cartoon, I tend to tell stories with my art.
